Females agents are desirable and needed in this industry more so than any time in the past 10 years. The number of female agents has risen 50% in the past 5 years alone. Why? The industry commends Scott Bernstein for this rise. Twenty years ago, in a class of 150 students, there were 4 female students which represented 3% of the student body. Now, in our tactical training cadre of 30 students, there are on average 6 women to every 30 which reflects a 20% representation and it is growing week to week.
Here is how Bernstein sees women contribute and how vital women are to this industry:
1. Because of their sex, women are more desirable to both men and women and especially to a fugitive on the run. The fugitive on the run requires 3 fundamental needs to be fulfilled:
2. Women properly trained using the science of pre-texting can offer this to the fugitive and LURE them in. A man cannot!
3. Women are less threatening in person and by phone and will not be suspected as a bounty hunter. When a Fugitive From Justice (FFJ) thinks of a bounty hunter, they do not conjure up a female/woman. A woman has wiles and different instincts than a man. A man cannot “play up” sexy and be persuasive in that arena. A female also offers up other qualities and attributes that a man cannot in this industry and IN THE ZONE.
In the workplace and in life in general, women tend to show higher stress levels than men; individuals suffering highest stress say its sources are both work and home; and older workers have developed resilience levels that make them better able to handle stress.
These survey findings are from Wellington-based organizational psychologists. Its analysis of 486 employees who’ve completed the company’s stress and resilience program highlights the importance of feeling “in the zone”. They are alert, attentive and in control. Workers with higher levels of resilience are more optimistic, feel more in control and have more positive feelings about their work. Employers need to be on the front foot in providing staff with the simple skills to make them stronger in dealing with stress in a positive, healthy way.
Offering employees work life balance options is now a business imperative rather than a fringe benefit which shows organizations a well-integrated work/life policies will be better able to both attract and hang onto talent. They’ll also enjoy increased productivity, higher levels of employee engagement, positive employer branding and better use of skill sets. It’s not enough to pay lip service to this concept under the misapprehension that such policies apply only to women. But one of the key perception changes that need to be made is that visibility equals productivity, says Bernstein.
Women Leaders More Persuasive
A study which set out to discover what qualities distinguish women leaders found them to be more persuasive, assertive and willing to take risks than their male counterparts.
Carried out by US-based management consulting firm Caliper with the UK business women’s network Aurora and involving women leaders from both sides of the Atlantic., the study found women were also more empathic and flexible as well as stronger in personal skills.
What boosts their persuasive capability is a willingness to see all sides of a situation and to come at a subject from their audience’s perspective – so the people they lead feel more understood, supported and valued. Male leaders were more inclined to start from their own point of view and convince through the strength of their position.
Another finding was their different response to knock back. Although slightly less resilient than men and prone to self criticism, women learn from adversity and carry on with a refueled determination to succeed. They’re also more likely to ignore rules, engage in greater risk-taking and come up with innovative solutions. Women are generally seen as having a more inclusive, team-building approach to problem solving and decision making – because they’re more willing to share information, they talk decisions through with many more people than their male counterparts. All of this suggests women may be creating a new paradigm of leadership that is more valued.
Women leaders were also found to be more empathetic and flexible, as well as stronger in interpersonal skills than their male counterparts enabling them to read situations accurately and take information in from all sides. These women leaders are able to bring others around to their point of view….because they genuinely understand and care about where others are coming from….so that the people they are leading feel more understood, supported and valued.
Here are real life comparable situations where women can get the job done more effectively in our teaching paradigm:
Once a fugitive’s address has been identified, is vitally important to determine if they are inside the residence and secondly to get them to open the door. Almost every door you will ever encounter will have a peep hole which allows the suspect to view anyone approaching the door and keeps you from looking inside. With this in mind, it is critical that a female be sent to the door because it is highly unlikely that the fugitive will view her as a bounty hunter. Men have two brains and tend to think with the one that sits between their legs. When the suspect looks through the peep hole and sees an attractive woman standing at his front door, sex will be the only thing on his mind at that point. The highly trained female bounty hunter can convince the suspect to open the door using a variety of plausible excuses such as a car that has broken down, needing help with changing a tire, dead cell phone battery and ask to use the phone and so on. Most men will willingly open the door at which point the female bounty hunter can perform a one second take down and handcuffing which is taught in our training. The fugitive has been apprehended and the bounty hunter can collect their fees.
Another scenario in which women are very effective is when an address is not known and only a cell phone number is available. Most fugitives on the run are unlikely to answer their cell phone when the caller ID is not recognized. However when a skilled female bounty hunter leaves a voicemail posing as a friend one of their friends from either Facebook or MySpace (depending on the age of the suspect), that wants to hook up with them, most men will return the call. The female can seductively play up to the male suspect and invite them to a bar. A backup team can be in place before the suspect enters the premises to provide assistance if needed when the female agent apprehends the suspect. Female agents can use their natural seductive abilities along with our specialized training to safely and effectively apprehend these fugitives and be compensated with some very lucrative incomes.
